Our Approach to Sustainability
We like to look at things differently. We know that the growing global population needs a sustainable diet that is also healthy. At Quorn® we are dedicated to helping foodservice professionals expand menus with a delicious and proven meat alternative. We share a vision with the foodservice industry to make food that meets the growing trend of consumers choosing to live a healthier lifestyle and making better choices for the planet. That’s why we take a different approach when it comes to protein production, choosing to use Quorn mycoprotein, a nutritious protein source, in all Quorn products.
Packaging for the planet
We are working even harder to make sure our packaging can be recycled and turned into something else, and we're also cutting the amount of packaging we use. There's a bit more work to do, but we're on the case. And the sleeve.
Good things we do
-
All our cardboard is from approved, managed and sustainable sources
-
All our outer cases use recycled cardboard

You can recycle all Quorn Foodservice
- Film bags
- Card trays
- Card cartons

Sustainable Palm Oil
Palm oil is a versatile ingredient that’s good to use because it only needs half the land of other oil producing crops. But in some parts of the world, illegal and irresponsible palm oil practices are a clear driver of deforestation, social conflicts and human rights issues. This cannot be allowed to continue.
We are members and supporters of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO)
We use only sustainable palm oil, and have done since 2014
We are 'leading the way' on the use of sustainable Palm Oil as classified by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF)
Love food, hate waste
Waste not, want not
, Mom always used to say. So, we’re making it an essential mission to do our bit for tackling food waste too:
-
We’ve joined WRAP’s Courtauld 2025 initiative to reduce waste and emissions by one-fifth
-
We’re working closely with WRAP to cut waste throughout our supply chain and in the home
Quorn is the first global meat-alternative brand to achieve third party certification of its carbon footprint figures
The Carbon Footprint of Quorn Grounds is more than 90% lower than that of beef†[1]
In 2018 our sites’ Carbon Emissions from energy‡ showed a reduction of 16% compared to our 2012 baseline[2]
